From a Vacaville Senior Portrait Photographer: A Tribute to You!

Let's talk about senior portraits for a minute, because they are probably one of my favorite things ever. Working for a high school for the last 12+ years has given me a huge appreciation for the incredible diversity in each student body. Every single individual has a charming variety of personality traits, interests, achievements, and future plans that make them so special just in who they are. I've been so grateful for the seniors I've been able to photograph so far, and I'm always excited to add variety to my collection of amazing students who have finished one stage of life and are entering another! So... A few things I've learned over the years:

Authenticity is Key

First and foremost, this is an opportunity to create a time capsule of who you are, and it's important to be true to yourself. If you're into the current styles, that's great! But you don't want to force anything that isn't part of your genuine self. You fill a part of this world that no one else can, with your unique vibe, and we want to celebrate that!

So as we're crafting something together, I'll be guiding you in the process of discovering what is most meaningful to you, what you're most proud of, and what you feel is most representative of your whole self.

The artwork we create is a pretty big bonus, but it's arguably even more important that you leave with a renewed sense of pride and a deep appreciation for who you are.

each session is unique

You'll notice that I have a fairly consistent editing style (as well as some changes over time as I've grown in my skill and education). However, senior portraits have a bit more variability, because we want them to reflect YOU in every way!

So if you're best represented by gentle colors, a tranquil environment, and laid-back poses, game on.

If you're bright and outgoing, bold and colorful, your images are going to reflect that!

Every color palette, session theme, location, styling, and posing flow is customized just for you. Because students are definitely not all the same, so why would your portraits be?

it's actually fun

Do you get tired just from thinking about figuring it all out and getting everything together? Never fear! A big reason that I take few clients is to be able to offer each family the best of my time, ability, and service to make it an absolute breeze.

I've got the right questions to ask, a creative process of crafting sessions, and an easygoing approachability that puts students and parents at ease so that the whole experience is legitimately fun and minimally stressful from start to finish.
